Fixed matches in the Football Federation of Ukraine to be significantly cut during 5 forthcoming years

The Vice President of the Football Federation of Ukraine and the First Anti-corruption Prosecutor of Ukraine Nazar Holodnitskiy have reported on the progress in combating of fixed sports matches. According to Nazar Holodnitskiy, the first criminal cases regarding fixed matches have been launched. The early results are to be provided soon.

Nazar Holodnitskiy mentioned the police involvement in the problem: since mild measures didn’t work, lawmaking force was applied. The games suspected of manipulation took place in the first and minor leagues, not Premier. “Everything starts low,” commented the Prosecutor.

He has also claimed that the combating of fixed matches would be time-taking but in the 5 forthcoming years, the federation would get clear of them or at least gain the significant results in this direction.
