Jaba Ebanoidze will speak at Ukrainian Gaming Congress

One of the speakers at the upcoming Ukrainian Gaming Congress will be Jaba Ebanoidze who is an ex-Deputy Minister of Justice and former head of the Revenue Service of Georgia, as well as a leading expert of the International Centre for Reforms in Ukraine.

He was a key member of the former Georgian president and now head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikhail Saakashvili’s team that in a short period of time managed to turn a fraying post-Soviet state into a thriving economic oasis in the Caucasus.

In particular, Jaba Ebanoidze is one of the authors of the draft law on the gambling business taxation in Georgia, which proved to be very successful for both the economy and large companies of the market. Thanks to good regulation and low tax rate, Georgia became investment-attractive country, which was able to overcome corruption. Moreover, the law on the taxation of gambling in this state is considered the most successful and elaborated within the territory of the former Soviet Union.

The theme of the Ebanoidze's speech at Ukrainian Gaming Congress will be devoted to the potential opportunity to implement the Georgian industry regulation model directly on the territory of Ukraine, its viability in the realities of the state, as well as discussion of the main issues that the country may face, and their solutions.

Biography

Jaba Ebanoidze was born Tbilisi. There he grew up and received a degree in “geodetic surveying". In the 90s, he worked in the organization protecting rights of landowners. In 2004, thanks to the active political position and support of Mikheil Saakashvili, he took the post of the Deputy Minister of Justice. Jaba Ebanoidze worked as the head of the National Agency of Public Registration, and within the period of 2011-2012 he headed the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Since 2014, he has been working in Ukraine and has received Ukrainian citizenship.
