Fight against fixed matches moved to the stadiums

Chairman of Committee on Ethics and Fair Play of Football Federation of Ukraine Francesco Baranca shared information on successes in combating fixed matches. According to him, a new system for identifying participants in such frauds proved itself. Now organizers are able to find these people in the stadiums during the games.

A special system was created after reaching an agreement with the organizers of sport events. The FFU members inspect the guests at the entrance to stadium to identify those who conduct suspicious activity. They then call the organizers, who help find the other accomplices and force them to leave the stadium.

Since it is impossible to directly prohibit Asian bookmakers to arrange fixed matches in Ukrainian sports, Committee members block their access to up-to-date information. Mr. Baranca believes in the system, since it has already successfully proved itself in real terms.

For example, 4 Ukrainian citizens who worked for the Asian BC were "deported" from the stadium, when the system was used for the first time. As a result, these people do not attending matches anymore.
